Ten Sims in the same dorm is very hectic. This chapter is devoted to tips and tricks for managing large number of Sims in the same dorm. And for large groups to be living together, I recommend dorms unless you don't mind breaks for them to prepare meals for themselves.

If you have Seasons, turn the season to Fall. It likely can be done during other seasons, but Fall lets them skill faster and going to class once and doing their term paper will fill the progress bar. And the term paper will take half the time.

Your first order of business each semester is to get everyone to get their progress bar expanded all of the way. Give priority to skill items that have limited users to those students who only have one skill left to earn. And then to two skills left to earn.

If you've set your seasons to fall, try to have most of the skilling done the first day. And try to have the bar at least half way before they go to class for the first time. They won't get full credit if they haven't gotten at least one skill for the semester achieved.

After all skills are learned for the semester for a Sim, their next priority is term papers. Try to have at least one computer for every two Sims. Have one for every Sim if you can afford it and have space for it. Especially if you do not set your seasons to Fall.

Send them off for class at the first chance you can where it will actually fill the most possible. For some that will be during day 2. Those that had class before the final let out and those who didn't have enough skills before class started on day 1.

However, once they've learned all of their skills, let them go off to class on their own if they do it of their own free will. Most Sims will roll wants to go to class and it gets them out of your hair for 2-3 hours.

Since you know what their major is you can look up skills for future semesters. Once they fill their bar if you haven't set your seasons to all fall, I would work towards skilling them up for future semesters. Or you could just let them go on free will.

Full bars also means a good opportunity to find spouses. Joren is the generation J heir and he's marrying Ame. A Simself.

Go in small steps each semester. Have everyone find someone within their freshman year. Use the subsequent semesters to solidify the relationships and move them towards engagement for those you wish to have married.

The only downside to dorm life is dealing with the occasional fires. Make sure there's a sprinkler. And hire a maid. If you're in an EA dorm, there could be traffic jams stopping the firefighters. Like in this one. The cafeteria worker is blocking the only path to the stove.

With lots of patience and hard work, your Sims will graduate with 4.0's. Just like the generation J Tortalls did.
